Memphis drug raid leads to child abuse charges

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (CBS) – Two men were arrested Friday when police raided their home and found nearly 300 grams of Marijuana, more than 30 Xanax pills, cash and drug paraphernalia.

In addition to the drug charges, the men are facing child abuse and neglect charges because police found three children hiding in the bedroom during the bust.

Dereck Ware, a neighbor who witnessed the commotion said that “it only saddens my heart because you got another father out of the picture.”

The three children are now staying with family members.
