GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT)-- The case against a Marshall County man accused of killing his son four years ago is set to go to trial this week.

J.C. Franklin Samuels is charged with murder in the September 14, 2009 shooting death of his 35-year-old son Gregory.

The shooting happened on Robert Circle in Guntersville.   Police say the two had been arguing the day of the shooting.  Investigators say Gregory Samuels went to the store and when he returned his father shot him in the chest with a rifle.
