We first brought you the story of Rhonda Norman in early November.  She called WHNT News 19 after watching our Taking Action Investigation: The Plumber- a hidden camera investigation where we exposed the unethical business practices of Ardmore man Tommy Mayo.

WHNT News 19 took action after the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama contacted us with a history of deceptive practices concerning Tommy Mayo.  Mayo’s plumbing business, “A&A Plumbing,” has an ‘F’ rating with the BBB.

The BBB says complainants allege that they paid money up front and the company did not complete the job. That’s what Rhonda says happened to her, out-of-pocket almost $2,000 with her house in shambles and the plumbing work, worse than when she started.

Rhonda wanted to spread the word about Mayo, in hopes that others wouldn’t be taken advantage of.  Her story was impactful, and one local business decided they wanted to step to the plate, and finish the job Mayo didn’t

AllStar Plumbers, Incorporated and WHNT News 19 coordinated a time where we could visit Rhonda and make things right.  Owner Chuck Robinson, along with two of his men showed up prepared and ready.  It was an emotional event for all parties involved, and a wonderful moment of giving that Rhonda won’t soon forget.
