‘Armed & Dangerous’ murder suspect arrested in Meridianville


MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – A suspect wanted in connection to a murder investigation in Madison has been captured in Meridianville.

Madison Police say Taylor Stephens was taken into custody by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes Unit.

Tuesday morning, Huntsville and Madison Police announced they were conducting a joint investigation into a death on Slaughter Road.

Huntsville Police said they were called, along with Madison Police and other agencies, to the 200-block of Slaughter Road just after 1 a.m.

Madison Police said Michael Anthony Baker was found dead.

Police said Johnathan Taylor Stephens, 39, is a suspect in the death.
