MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – Madison Police confirm they have located all three teens that ran away from the Sequel juvenile custody facility on Brownsferry Road.
Authorities say the teens were taken into custody at Segers and Schrimsher Road. After Madison Police were alerted, they issued a BOLO (Be On the Look Out) and brought in a SWAT team, K9 unit, and alerted nearby law enforcement agencies.
That was the plan put into place in response to another escape in 2017 where police say two teens escaped and murdered a man.
The city reviewed Three Springs’ business License last year and added additional requirements including more notification and monitoring.
The Madison City Council will meet for a special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 29 to set a public hearing to consider a resolution to set a public hearing regarding the business license of Sequel TSI Holdings, LLC. The tentative date of public hearing meeting August 14, 2019.
