MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – An ATM was stolen from a Madison credit union early Thursday morning.

Huntsville Police Department (HPD) confirmed officers were called to the 8600-block of US-72 West at 4:17 a.m. The initial call was for an alarm. Family Security Credit Union confirmed to News 19 that the ATM was stolen from their branch at 8662 US-72 West.

Officers on scene found a large forklift behind the building and a missing ATM. Investigators said they believe the forklift was taken from a nearby construction site.

HPD is searching for a white man in connection with the ATM theft.

Friday afternoon, HPD sent these photos to News 19 of the alleged suspect, although, they are unable to see any facial features.

HPD said the investigators were still working on getting the surveillance video. FSCU added that no member information was compromised due to the theft.
