UPDATE: Reward now up to $10,000 for tips in 2008 missing woman case

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Thursday morning, the Madison County Sheriff's Office announced new developments in the case of a woman missing for nearly seven years.

They are adding a $5,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to an arrest or conviction in the case of Jennifer Fay Powers.  The state had already offered a $5,000 before, so this brings the total to $10,000.

"If there is someone responsible for her disappearance, or some crime against her, we'd like to bring them to justice," said Sgt. Brian Chaffin from the Sheriff's Department.

Powers was last seen July 12, 2008 on Granto Drive in Harvest, Alabama.
