Louisiana officer shows the danger of leaving pets & children in hot cars

“I can barely breathe–and sweat is everywhere.”  That’s what a Louisiana police officer had to say while he was locked inside a car for just 10 minutes.

He was demonstrating how quickly the heat can turn deadly for children and pets.

“Hi, I’m Scott Silvery, Chief of Police in Thibadoux, Louisiana. What you’re about to watch is an experiment that was highly supervised to show the effects of being inside a hot car in southern Louisiana. Please do not try this at home.”
