HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The polls are closed and the results are in for the GOP runoff for a U.S. Senate seat.

The race between former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore and U.S. Sen. Luther Strange was declared a win for Moore.

Strange conceded the race at 8:40 p.m.

Moore will face Doug Jones, the Democratic Party’s nominee, in the Dec. 12 general election.
