LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – Friday the 13th began with a knock on the door from drug investigators for more than two dozen residents.

WHNT NEWS 19 went along with deputies conducting a drug operation around 5:30 in the morning.

Sheriff Mike Blakely says he and his deputies were looking for 26 people who Blakely said had 35 outstanding warrants against them collectively.

Blakely said most of the suspects had legitimate prescriptions for painkillers, got them, and then sold them on the streets for big money.

Investigators have been working on this round up for the last eight months.
