UAH doctoral candidate Saroj Kumar is an international award winner for his work in Nuclear Thermal Propulsion. His research on rocket engines will one day take us to Mars.

Kumar says that Nuclear Thermal Propulsion is vital to this due to its efficiency. The challenge, he says, is not just going to Mars, but also coming back. However, Nuclear Thermal Propulsion makes this easier.
