Rosa Parks Day Committee seeks to keep legacy of civil rights icon alive

The late Rosa Parks is a civil rights icon.

At a time when such a thing wasn’t done, she, a black woman, refused to sit at the back of a bus.

And now, there’s a Rosa Parks Day committee.

Committee Member David Person talked about the committee and its work on the Move the Monument campaign, which seeks to have the Confederate monument removed from outside the Madison County Courthouse.
