(WHNT) — The Cold War spanned from 1945 to 1991 and often a large group of those who served during this time are forgotten about.

News 19’s Steve Johnson sat down with John Lassiter, an Air Force veteran, on Leadership Perspectives to discuss this group of people referred to as ‘Cold Warriors.’

Their conversation includes how Huntsville played a role in the Cold War, the veterans who served during this time and more.
