HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Land Trust of North Alabama says it has raised money needed to buy and preserve 122 acres on the northeast corner of Monte Sano.

The land trust said it reached its $305,000 goal five months ahead of its deadline and will be moving forward with closing on the property.

The land is adjacent to Monte Sano State Park and includes portions of the Panthers Knob and Logan Point hiking trails.
