The lines between shopping and Thanksgiving have already become muddled, and now another retailer is stopping out in front of the pack to announce a new holiday schedule—that includes 100 hours of non-stop retail.
Kohl’s Department store announced Thursday that for the first time ever they will fling open their doors for 24 hours straight over a four day period. The new hours begin at 6 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 20 and run through 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24.
The chief customer officer pitched the adjusted store hours as a way to accommodate families, by allowing them to check off their lists whether it’s the dawn, daytime or midnight hours.
“The holiday season is an eventful time for families, and Kohl’s is making it easy for shoppers to wrap up their last- minute gift giving with 24-hour access to Kohl’s stores right up to Christmas Eve,” Michelle Gass said.
Two shops contacted in the Richmond area, on Midlothian and Broad Street, confirmed they will be open during these hours. For a list of store locations and information visit www.Kohls.com.
