This week in our Kids to Love report, we have a child who can fit into any conversation.  She enjoys writing stories and plays, and would love to find a forever family.

Shunterria is 13, in the 7th grade and makes good grades.  She likes to read chapter books.

She is creative, artistic and likes to have fun…

Shunterria shared she likes to “play, dance, go places.”

She doesn’t like to talk about how long she’s been in care.  She just wants an exit plan.

“Do you want to have a permanent home?  A place where you don’t have to move anymore?” we asked her.  “Yes, a nice home,” Shunterria replied.

While she`s not picky about potential parents, she does have a warning about potential pets.

“Do you like animals?” we asked.

“Dogs,” she said. “I don’t like cats.  Cats get on my nerves.”

Shunterria does like to dress up.  She was proud of her yellow Easter dress she wore for our interview.

“It’s very pretty,” we said.  Shunterria politely replied “Thank you.”

Shunterria has a sister D’Angela.  You’ll meet her next week in our Kids to Love segment.  These air every Monday on WHNT News 19 at 5:00 p.m.
