We’ve been busy at the Kids to Love warehouse, working to assemble school supplies so they can be shipped out in time to get to kids in foster care around the state.

There’s still time to help!

10 year old Lee Murray is getting the hang of a pallet jack. It’s on the job training he learns from working with his dad Rick at Murray Moving and Freight.

Today’s work order… a 9 pallet pick up in Huntsville.

“We are taking the loads of school supplies down to Montgomery for Kids to Love and Murray Moving and & Freight decided to help out our community it feels good to do so.” Billie Murray said.

Boxes full of school supplies filled by grade, packed on pallets and loaded into the truck, classroom essentials to give more than 16-hundred kids in foster care in Central and South Alabama a starting chance.

“Lee - how's it make you feel knowing you’re going to help kids your age and all other ages have school supplies?” Lee asks.

“It mean it's pretty good, I enjoy it!” Lee answered.

“Like working with your dad?” Billie asked.

“yes I do.” Lee answered.

Kids to Love is a local non-profit organization that depends on community donations so we can meet the needs of foster children we serve.

“We understand that you have to give back to the community - it's important to us to give back to the community and to show our son how we can help others that are less fortunate than we are and we're so blessed to have a family and him and we work together in the business and we really wanted to help others out as well.” Billie Murray said.

You can still help! Our day long drive is Friday August 1st! For more information on collection locations click here.
