Jeb Bush suspends presidential campaign following South Carolina primary

(WHNT) – Jeb Bush told an audience in South Carolina that he is suspending his campaign for the presidency.

Early returns had Bush polling in the single-digits in the South Carolina primary.

Bush entered the day with just 4 delegates committed to him, compared to Donald Trump who had 55, Ted Cruz who had 11, and Marco Rubio who had 10.

Shortly after polls closed, both the AP and CBS News called the South Carolina primary for Donald Trump.
