HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Another Huntsville City Schools administrator is saying goodbye to the system.
Dr. Barbara Cooper, Deputy Superintendent of Huntsville City Schools, announced at the Thursday’s school board meeting she has accepted a job as a state deputy superintendent in Montgomery.
Cooper’s decision means Huntsville Board of Education members must now look to fill two positions.
The board is currently searching for a superintendent to replace Dr. Casey Wardynksi, who resigned in September. Tom Drake is filling the position in the interim.
