WhistleStop Festival returns to downtown Huntsville this weekend

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The two day  WhistleStop barbecue festival  returns to Huntsville!

The foot-stompin' event offers live entertainment, a children's play zone, and professional and amateur barbecue cooking competitions.

Admission prices:

Weekend passes -- adult (ages 9+) $35 and  youth (ages 9+) $25.
Single day passes -- adult (ages 9+) $25 and  youth (ages 3-8) $5

All proceeds benefit EarlyWorks Children's Museum and educational programs for area children.

The event starts Friday, May 6 from 4 pm to 11 pm and Saturday, May 7 from 10 am to 11 pm.

Huntsville police have closed several streets near the Huntsville Train Depot for the event. This includes portions of Church St. and Monroe Ave.  (See Map Below)

We stopped by the Huntsville Train Depot Thursday afternoon and caught some of the WhistleStop participants setting up for the weekend.
