The work will be done from 6:00pm to 6 a.m. from Sunday nights through Thursday nights into Friday mornings. Seth Burkett, with ALDOT said, “you know, I’d expect in the earlier parts of the evening you would see some delays, that’ll probably die down as the night wares on.”

Burkett also said to expect lane closures throughout the duration of the resurfacing project. “I would expect single lane closures, you know, most evenings, within those time frames” he said.

He said ALDOT plans to do the repaving in sections, however there could be lane closures in both directions at the same tome.

Burkett said ALDOT plans to have the work completed by the fall, if the weather cooperates.
