HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Huntsville Police tell us they responded to calls of shots fired on Garrison Street in Huntsville on Sunday afternoon.

They went out to the area several times over the course of the day Sunday for calls about fights.

They say they found a woman had been hit by a car when they got out there around 2:30 p.m. They say her injuries are minor and not life-threatening.

Police have one suspect in custody, though it's not clear he'll be charged.

Police also say shots were fired, but they are not sure yet how many rounds. Police say at least one bullet shattered the window of a nearby vehicle. Nobody was hit by the gunfire.

Police at the scene say two victims involved in the fight fled to a nearby Jet-Pep gas station and two believed attackers are still at large.

The victims and man taken into custody were all taken to south precinct to meet with an investigator.

Others were taken into custody for traffic warrants unrelated to the day's incidents.
