HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The most recent movie filmed in Huntsville, Space Warriors, is set to premiere April 25 at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

The U.S. Space and Rocket Center is planning a VIP Showing inside the 3-D Theater.  This event will include stars from the movie along with the director, Sean McNamara, and some of the movie’s producers. VIP tickets cost $75.00 each and all money raised goes to benefit the Space Center.  A Red Carpet private reception will be held for VIP ticket-holders at 6 p.m.

There will be a second event for the general public on the same night.  Doors will open around 7 p.m. and the movie begins at 8 p.m. inside the Saturn V Hall. Viewers will get to watch the movie underneath the rocket.  The Saturn V Hall tickets are $10.00 for general admittance.

Director Sean McNamara says “Space Warriors” is a movie that will inspire.

“Our dream is to get kids interested in going to space. That’s what Space Camp is all about,” said McNamara. “There are people who are basketball stars, football stars, sports stars all over, but how many people really want to get into math and science and go to space, and that’s what this film is all about.”

The “Space Warriors” cast includes Danny Glover, Josh Lucas, Thomas Horn, Dermot Mulroney, Mira Sorvino and Booboo Stewart, who has been in the Twilight movies.
