HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - If you're not feeling very creative when it comes to projects around the house, the Fall Home and Garden Show is in town to help you out! Along with more than 100 different companies present, there will be speakers and seminars throughout the weekend. One of those speakers is Arab native, Seth Stisher, host of the FYI Network show, 'Waterfront House Hunting.'

"I'll be talking about kind of the allure of living on the water, and balancing that with the concerns and things you need to worry about when purchasing a waterfront property," said Stisher.

In between looking for the latest landscaping trends, Stisher says there are some things you need to consider before getting serious about a waterfront home.

"There's a lot of different things and there's some obvious ones," said Stisher. "The liability of living on the water, having someone on your property that can access the water and be injured or anything like that. Erosion and elements, those are things that come to mind."

Stisher is no stranger to the state of Alabama, and says he's glad the Home and Garden Show brought him back to the Tennessee Valley.

"I am from Arab and grew up spending time on Lake Guntersville," said Stisher. "It's kind of interesting to come back in this form, I visit quite a lot, but I'm here for a different reason and it's definitely a different feel, but it's nice to come home and speak to people I know and meet new people in my own home area."

Stisher adds with many obstacles for buying on the water, don't get discouraged, just be prepared and do your research.
