Police say the man may be driving a dark-colored Chevrolet Impala or Malibu.  It didn’t have a license plate.  The man left the bank and drove east on Madison Boulevard.

Police won’t say how much money the man took.

WHNT News 19 spoke with a woman who was in the parking lot shortly before the incident. She was waiting for the bank to open, but left for about 20 minutes.  When she returned, she immediately knew something was wrong.

“Two officers came from behind with guns,” said Kaori Scherer.  That kind of alerted me something was going on.”
