Huntsville Police: Landlord possibly the victim in Monday’s shooting on 2nd Avenue

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police are still trying to piece together details in a shooting that happened Monday in the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue.  A man was shot in the torso around 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Lt. Stacy Bates, the department’s spokesperson, said it appears the victim is possibly the landlord. It appears he was shot after an altercation with someone in the house.  The man was taken to the hospital.

Police are interviewing several people, but have not charged anyone yet.

The scene is just south of the area where Triana Boulevard and Interstate 565 cross.
