Police: Huntsville officer catches man stealing appliances from Lowe’s on South Memorial Parkway

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Police say a patrol officer caught a burglar in the act early Friday morning.  The arrest happened at Lowe’s on South Memorial Parkway.

Police say an officer was patrolling around the store and spotted a suspicious truck behind Lowe’s at approximately 3:30 a.m.  Police say 32-year-old Raul Jeremy Gonzalez had broken into a storage area and took appliances and put them in his truck bed.  He had just finished loading them when the officer spotted him, officers said.

The property was returned to the store and Gonzales was booked in to the Madison County Jail.  He is charged with third-degree burglary.
