HUNTSVILLE, Ala.– The City’s fourth dog park is officially open.
Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Tommy Battle, District 2 City Council Member Mark Russell, and Parks & Recreation Director Steve Ivey opened Hampton Cove Dog Park officially with a Ribbon Cutting.
Located at 265 Wade Road, just off Highway 431 South, the park is over an acre with two sections for large and small furry friends. The plan also includes sunshade areas and benches for their owners.
Huntsville Animal Services attended the grand opening, and they were joined by a few friendly dogs who are looking for a home. See more animals available for adoption.
Iceworks Shaved Ice also attended the event, they were there serving snow cones and lemonade, keeping the humans cool during the parks reveal.
Hampton Cove Dog Park is now open daily.
