HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Several units responded to an “all-assignment” fire on Winchester Road on Sunday night.
According to the Moores Mill Volunteer Fire and Rescue (MMVFR), it was around 7:45 when crews were called to the McDonald’s restaurant at 2234 Winchester Road in Huntsville.
The department said that initial fire reports indicate that the fire might have started in the sign and moved to the roof.
Firefighters were able to quickly knock out the flames, the department said on their Facebook page.
Crews with Huntsville Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene to assist. Drivers were asked to stay clear of the area.
No injuries were reported.
A McDonald’s employee told News 19 that the location is expected to be open on Monday.
