HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A Huntsville home is heavily damaged after a fire broke out Saturday night.

Huntsville Fire, Huntsville Police, and HEMSI responded to the call around 10:45 PM.  When they arrived at the home on the 1400 block of Cavalry Street NW, near University Drive they could see flames near the back of the home. The fire moved to the attic. Our crew said they saw smoke from more than a mile away.

No one was home when the fire started.

Earlier another home on the same street was also damaged in a fire. Investigators are still working to determine the cause of both fires.
