Huntsville Police say Frederick Bender, 66, of Hoover, also died at the scene Wednesday afternoon. The wreck happened around 4 p.m. near the Mooresville Road exit.

Matthew and Maryann Wharton raised Marissa.  Marissa and her husband, Matthew Baugher, had a two-year-old daughter together.

"She was one tough cookie," Maryann Wharton told WHNT News 19 on Thursday afternoon. "Her favorite words to live by were don't cry, don't whine, suck it up and power through it," Wharton added.

The family says they find strength in knowing Marissa is up in heaven with her grandfather and the unborn child watching over the rest of them "from the clouds."

Visitation for Marissa Baugher and her unborn son, Micah, will be Saturday, September 28 from 2 to 3:15 p.m at Limestone Chapel, located at 322 Hwy. 31 North in Athens.  The funeral service is at 3:30 p.m, also at Limestone Chapel.  Here is a link to her obituary.
