Morning fire damages home on 9th Avenue

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) - Firefighters responded to a fire at a home in the 2800 block of 9th Avenue in Huntsville on Monday morning.

It happened just after 8 a.m.

Four units responded.  A fire captain told our news partner The Huntsville Times/ most of the damage happened in the kitchen.

No one was home at the time.  One person was displaced, and is receiving help from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
