HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police say a body was found under a bridge near the Memorial Parkway overpass at Governor’s Drive Monday afternoon.

Police said a call came in around 2:45 p.m. Monday reporting a body found underneath the bridge near the Huntsville Hospital Medical Mall. Authorities on the scene said the body has been identified as a man born in 1956, but they are not immediately releasing his name.

Police told WHNT News 19 Monday evening that it appeared the man had fallen off the 15-foot drop down to the bank to the rocks below. They don’t suspect foul play, but plan to continue investigating and wait for autopsy results.
