ARDMORE, Tenn. (WHNT) – A man jumped from the second story of an apartment complex in an attempt to evade police who were investigating a report of a meth lab Thursday night.

Ardmore Fire Chief Tim Toone said it started when police went to the Highland Rim Phase II on Smith Ave to check out a report of a meth lab at a residence. The investigation revealed four adults and three children inside the residence. An active meth lab was also discovered.

All four adults went through decontamination and were arrested. The three children were taken to the hospital for evaluation. They will be turned over to the Department of Human Resources following their stay at the hospital.

The man who jumped from the window? All he got for his efforts was a broken leg.
