HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Huntsville Police say a man was caught stealing items from Home Depot on North Memorial Parkway, but not before showing a knife as he tried to get away.

Police say the loss prevention agent at Home Depot saw Jeffrey Clark take several items from the store on Sunday evening without paying.  The agent approached Clark, 46, and confronted him.  Police say Clark reached in his pocket and pulled out a knife.

The loss prevention agent and another person standing nearby struggled with Clark and got the knife away from him.  They held him until police arrived.

Clark is charged with first-degree robbery.  He is being held in the Huntsville/Madison County Jail without bond for violating his probation from a previous charge.
