MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison’s premiere gala event of the year, the 4th annual Connect2014 presented by Landers McLarty Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram/Fiat/Subaru, will celebrate connections between the City of Madison, regional and local governments, area businesses, residents, and those interested in investing and moving to our area.
Additionally, Madison wants to raise awareness of the importance of education and its relationship to growing in a positive manner – personally, corporately, municipally, and regionally.
On Friday, Feb 7, Connect2014 will begin under the Saturn 5 Rocket in the Davidson Center at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner and the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. This formal evening of connections will include a cocktail reception, formal dinner, along with a gathering after dinner with live music and socializing.
Special guests will be at the event, including Cristina Lynn, who will be performing the national anthem, and Bob Jones' and James Clemons' students presenting our nation's colors and pledge.
WHNT News 19's own Jerry Hayes will be the emcee for the evening. Mayor Troy Trulock ’s State of the City Address will feature a year in review and his vision for 2014 and beyond.
