MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) – Citizens are asked to give feedback to the City of Madison at a public meeting for the Madison Parks and Recreation Master Plan to be held on on Tuesday, September 24, 6:30 PM at Dublin Park Gymnasium.

Findings about recent facility inventory and recreation participation and how the city ranks against nation standards will be presented by Madison’s consultant, KPS Group, Inc.  Feedback and ideas submitted by citizen participants will be incorporated into the plans and recommendations that will be the result of a several-month planning effort that began in July.

This meeting will be of particular interest to residents who participate in sports, who use parks and paths, and who have ideas about opportunities Madison has for future parks and facilities.

The master plan is funded by the Madison City Council as part of their efforts to implement the Madison Growth Plan, adopted in 2012.  The Madison Growth Plan uses community feedback in order to make strategic decisions about spending on recreational capital improvements that will best meet the needs of Madison residents.

Dublin Park Gymnasium is located at at 8324 Madison Pike.
