Lunches of Love seeks votes to win $25,000 grant to help our community’s children

MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – There is a group of people in town whose mission is to make sure children have something to eat over the weekends. Now, they are asking for the community’s help in receiving enough votes to win the Good Neighborhood Assist Grant worth $25,000.

In order to win, the non-profit must receive enough votes to make it to the top 40 of 200 organizations in the running. Voting opens on October 26 and continues through November 4.

Lunches of Love is a ministry of Mission Firefly that provides healthy foods and snacks to underprivileged children in our local schools. Each child receives a bag of food on Friday to take home for the weekend.
