Lowe’s family safety awareness day

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Lowe’s in North Huntsville hosted its first community safety day.

HEMSI, MedFlight, Army Reserve, Huntsville Fire Dept., Madison County Sherriff, Boy Scouts of America, and the Huntsville Police department are all organizations that helped host this event.

The family safety day included tours of safety trucks and equipment, a fingerprinting clinic for kids, and much more family fun.

It was from 10am- 3pm at the Lowe’s on North Memorial Parkway.

The first 100 families that attended got a free smoke detector for their home.
