Huntsville Police To Present Anti-Bullying Workshop

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and this week, you and your children have an opportunity to learn more about stopping this kind of behavior.

Huntsville Police Officer Carl McDuffie will talk with children and adults about bullying and stopping the violence.  The event is Tuesday, October 9 at 3:30 p.m. at the Showers Center Library.  The library is in the Showers center, located at 4600 Blue Spring Road in Huntsville.  The phone number is (256) 851-4001.

Officer McDuffie is a School Resource Officer in Huntsville and works with students daily.

Wednesday, October 10 is Unity Day.  People are asked to wear orange to send a message of support to students who have experienced bullying.  You can also write UNITY on your hand.  Here’s more information about Unity Day.
