Huntsville Police arrest man in June 10 shooting; victim found in car on Seminole Drive

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that happened on June 10.  The suspect, Jashawn Douglas, is charged with first-degree assault.

On Friday, June 10, police responded to calls of a one-car accident in the area of Seminole Drive and 7th Avenue.  They found a man inside the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.  He was taken to the hospital, and has been slowly recovering. Police have not released his name.

Police say Douglas, 18, and the man were attempting to make a drug transaction in the area when the shooting happened.

Police say they expect to make additional arrests in the case.
