Huntsville firefighters respond to fatal house fire on Broadmor Road


HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Fire and Rescue responded early Monday morning to a fatal fire on Broadmor Road in north Huntsville. The call came in around 5:15 a.m.

Lieutent Jesse Sumlin with Huntsville Police identifed the woman who died in the fire as 44-year-old Lanessa Tate.

Six fire trucks and at least one HEMSI paramedic unit responded to a home the home located at 3903 Broadmor Road.

Firefighters asked motorists to avoid the area.

Fire Marshall Mike Jaco says the house is a total loss.
