HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Approximately 2,000 Huntsville Hospital employees have had work hours reduced or been furloughed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

A hospital spokesperson confirmed the number of employees affected Thursday afternoon.

Huntsville Hospital CEO David Spillers has said the next three months the hospital’s balance sheet would be “horrendous,” because of a loss of revenue with elective surgery cancellations.
