HAZEL GREEN, Ala. (WHNT) - Firefighters were called to battle a house fire early Monday morning on Charity Lane.

They were called to the scene around 8 a.m.  According to the Madison County Fire Marshal, the family of five got out safely.

The American Red Cross is helping the family.

Several fire departments helped with the effort, including Hazel Green, Bobo, Meridianville and Toney.
