HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - First responders with Huntsville Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (HEMSI) clearly care about the community. They are the first to rush in and take care of those hurt in an emergency.

Wednesday, they further showed their support for the community by delivering toys donated by their employees to children at the YMCA Downtown Early Childhood Education Center.

It's part of the HEMSI Cares program. Employees donated toys at their annual Christmas party.

An ambulance and crew arrived at the center with lights flashing. The EMTs presented children with a personalized gift-wrapped toy. The toys were wrapped by volunteers through the United Way of Madison County.
