MADISON COUNTY, Ala. - Monday evening, Madison County deputies arrived on the scene at the Charles Motel in Meridianville.

Investigators tell us they searched a room in a case related to multiple complaints about car break-ins and a recent store burglary in Meridianville.

After obtaining and executing the search warrant, investigators say among the items they found inside were banking cards, various Alabama driver licenses, various Social Security cards, cartons of cigarettes, a small amount of marijuana, camping gear, knives, and prescription pills that are believed to belong to the victims.

Deputies say this may be an observed holiday in Alabama, but they continue to work their cases and follow leads.

At this time, we're told there is no one in custody yet, although Madison County deputies have two persons of interest they are actively seeking.
