Gold Wing Grand Parade is Saturday, Sept. 5

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Everyone loves a parade, so come out this Saturday and say hello to Gold Wing owners visiting our city from all over the United States! They’re here for “Wing Ding 37,” the annual motorcycle convention.


The parade begins at 8:30 a.m.  Staging for the event will be on Heart of Huntsville Drive, next to the Von Braun Center, with the road being closed to through traffic at 6:30 a.m.  The parade will start at 8:30 a.m. from the staging area on Heart of Huntsville Drive, and will follow the below route (or check this map):

South on Heart of Huntsville Drive

Turn Right (South) on Monroe Street

Turn Left (East) on Governors Drive

Turn Left (North) on Monte Sano Boulevard

Turn Right (East) on Lookout Drive

Turn Left (North) on Fern Street

Turn Left (West) on Bankhead Parkway

Follow Bankhead Parkway/Pratt Avenue and turn Left on Maysville Road

Turn Right (West) on Randolph Avenue

Turn Left (South) on California Street

Turn Right (West) on Lowe Avenue

Turn Right (North) on Adams Street

Turn Left (West) on Williams Avenue

Turn Left (South) on Monroe Street and follow to round-about

Turn Right (North) and finish on Heart of Huntsville Drive

Huntsville Police will have officers at all major intersections.  Between 500 and 1,500 motorcycles are expected, and Huntsville drivers should expect traffic congestion and delays.  Please plan accordingly if your Saturday morning drive includes one of these streets.
