It won't be long until students go back to class. And that means teachers are gearing up to prepare their classroom.
Luckily, many local teachers are getting a helping hand.

Tuesday, teachers stopped by the Free2Teach store. The store is at 300 9th Avenue in Huntsville.

Free2Teach is a program designed to help teachers get the supplies they need to start school at no cost.

A Monrovia Middle School teacher, Verra Williams said, "...I think it's absolutely phenomenal... it's not secret that many teachers spend a lot of money out of there own pocket on classroom supplies.  To be able to come down here and choose the things that you actually need that will enhance your class room for free is wonderful."

The supplies were made available to classroom teachers in Madison City, Madison County, and Huntsville Public Schools.

The Free2Teach store is open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursday. It is also open from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Teachers are required to register to shop at and may shop at the store once every other month.
