Former Huntsville Fire District Chief Loses Battle With Cancer

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Family and friends of the Huntsville Fire Department are gathering this evening to say goodbye to one of their own.

District Chief David Robinson lost his battle with cancer earlier this week.

He served the city for 21 years, and was promoted to district chief in April of last year.

Visitation for Chief Robinson is going on right now at Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville until 7:00 p.m.

Friends and family will gather at 11:00 tomorrow morning for the funeral.

The family does welcome the public to attend.
