Family now homeless after early morning fire in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Firefighters say they arrived at a home on Delia Lane to see flames shooting out of the roof, causing them to call another unit to the scene. The fire started around 2:30 Tuesday morning.

Neighbors alerted emergency crews to the fire.

Firefighters say the family, consisting of two adults and one child, has been displaced by the fire. They were not home when the fire started.

The American Red Cross is helping the family for the next couple of days.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
